About this course:
Join us for a transformative 2 hour discussion designed specifically for supervisors and mental health professionals supporting autistic and ADHD trainees, Associates, and interns on their path to licensure. Led by a panel of three experienced supervisors and a newly licensed therapist- each with lived experience as autistic or AuDHD supervisees themselves- this session will explore practical skills and theoretical frameworks that enhance the supervisory process. Expect an engaging format featuring a brief introduction followed by ample Q&A time, where attendees can ask questions of the panelists, who will exchange ideas, share successes and challenges, and collaboratively explore innovative strategies to better support our autistic and AuDHD supervisees. Together, we’ll empower the next generation of neurodivergent mental health professionals!

Meet the Instructor
Jaclyn Halpern, PsyD
Dr. Halpern (she/her) is a licensed psychologist who has worked in private practice since 2010. She has extensive experience as a clinical director, evaluator, therapist, parent coach, and supervisor. Dr. Halpern provides individual, group, and family therapy for clients of all ages. She also provides attachment-based parent coaching and couples therapy for those exploring neurodiversity within their relationship. Dr. Halpern’s approach is based in the relational neurosciences.
As Partner, Clinical Director of Psychology & Psychology Supervisor at Playful Therapy Connections in Maryland, Dr. Halpern supports clinical staff to ensure that therapy and testing are empathic, strengths-based, affirming, culturally competent, trauma-informed, and anchored in up to date, evidenced-based neuroscientific and psychological research. Dr. Halpern’s primary focus is on helping clients and supervisees affirmingly navigate neurodiversity. She supports both neurodivergent and neurotypical individuals navigating daily life, with its many ups, downs, and daily stressors. Dr. Halpern identifies as neurodivergent and is part of a neurodiverse family.

Dr. Kade Sharp, PhD, LICSW, CMHS, CST, RPT-S™
Dr. Kade Sharp (he/they) is a queer autistic trans Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, Certified Sex Therapist, and Child Mental Health Specialist practicing in Washington state. He has his PhD in Clinical Sexology through Modern Sex Therapy Institutes. He specializes in supporting queer, trans and non-binary autistic and AuDHD clients of all ages, as well as neurodivergent supervisees. Kade loves helping people figure out they're autistic, playing board & card games, roleplaying, reality TV, true crime, and his 2 adopted senior cats. Olivia Belknap
Olivia Belknap (she/her) is an AuDHD associate marriage and family therapist working in private practice in the state of California. Olivia is passionate about working with neurodivergent clients, particularly those who were identified later in life, as well as the COVID conscious community, the LGBTQ+ community, and those living with chronic illness. Dr. Jessica Hogan
Dr. Jessica Hogan (she/her) is an AuDHD, cis-gender, queer, chronically ill, and hard-of-hearing psychologist. She is a proud citizen of the Chickasaw Nation. Dr. Hogan earned her Master’s Degree and her Doctor of Psychology Degree from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago and completed her doctoral training at a college counseling center, outpatient clinics, a community mental health center, and an in-patient psychiatric hospital. She then went on to complete her APA-Accredited Pre-Doctoral Internship at the Indian Healthcare Resource Center of Tulsa. She completed her Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System, an in-patient psychiatric hospital.
