GEMS Neurodiversity Summit: Autistic + ADHD Teens
Saturday May 16, 2026, starting at 10 am PST

If you’ve been wondering…

  • How do I support my teens who are just finding out they’re autistic or AuDHD?

  • What do I do to prepare these teens for adulthood? Is that even my role?

  • When sessions are silent or full of “I dunno”, how can I support therapeutic movement?

  • All my teenagers are bored - how do I change that?!

  • How can I reduce the stigma and shame my teen clients feel about being different?

We’ve got answers! Spend Saturday, May 16th, with us as we share insight about working with Autistic + ADHD Teens! We’ll be gathering from 10am to 3pm PST to discuss everything above - and more.

Dr. Kade Sharp, LICSW, Sabrina Longley, LCSW, and Jamie Roberts, LMFT, are bringing their tips, tricks, and compassionate perspectives. Having grown up to be the adults we needed when we were young, we’re sharing our lived experience and clinical knowledge with you to strengthen your skills and widen your offerings for neurodivergent youth.

10:35am: Between a Rock and a Hard Place: Reclaim Bored Teen Sessions with Sabrina Longley, LCSW
The hour ticks by and your teen client has said naught but 5 words. Far from hyperverbal clients, these teens are bored, scared, or just plain quiet. Sessions like this leave you feeling inadequate, confused, and frustrated. How the hell can you break through to quiet, bored teens? More importantly, how do you get them to break out?! Join Sabrina Longley, LCSW to explore how to feel empowered when facing quiet teen sessions. Learn actionable techniques and more importantly the reasons behind the silence in the first place.

5 minute stretch break

11:40am: Rock Steady: Building a Sturdy Sense of Self for Neurodivergent Teens with Dr. Kade Sharp, PhD, LICSW, CMHS, CST, RPT-S™
Diagnosis can bring so many different feelings out for teens: confusion, worry, relief, grief, and more! As their therapist, we need to know how to help them navigate these emotions and build a strong sense of self. Many neurodivergent teens report their self-confidence takes a hit and that they feel a lack of support as they try to navigate the world, too. Do you feel prepared to help them process this, find community, and feel hope for the future? Join Dr. Kade Sharp as he provides insight on how to reduce ableism, increase connection, and support neurodivergent teens in figuring out who they are.

15 minute stretch break

12:55 pm: Adulting and Executive Functioning with Jamie Roberts, LMFT

5 minute stretch break

2 pm: Ask Us Anything Panel with Jamie, Sabrina & Kade*
Let’s tackle the tough stuff! VIPs can submit questions ahead of time or during the event itself. Sabrina, Kade, and Jamie are prepared to field questions about any topics related to caring for Autistic, ADHD and AuDHD Teens. From how to interact with their guardians so their home environment can change… to what to do if they bring their new partner to session to discuss sex… Nothing is off-limits! Come experience community with other Teen therapists. 💖
*This panel is for VIP attendees only and hopes to promote connection and idea sharing.
